My commitment to effective teaching methods is evident in my academic achievements.

I have been teaching history and economics full-time at prestigious institutions such as Robert College, Marmara College, and Hisar School in Turkey. My goal is to inspire and guide students on their path to knowledge. I have actively participated in academic seminars and organizations, contributing to stimulating discussions on history education, curriculum design, and active learning methodologies. My contributions to research and teaching have received recognition, including my role as a core team member of the Erasmus + research project "Learning to Disagree". Furthermore, I am a certified teacher for AP Economics and AP World History.

I hold strong beliefs about education, which involve creating a space for active learning, critical thinking, and inclusivity. I think it's important to provide students with not only knowledge but also the skills to question, analyze, and interact with their surroundings. After graduation I stayed in China to teach English, I now have 8 years of teaching experience in the education industry, I have worked in various training schools and schools around Chengdu. I have been awarded "The Most Trustworthy Teacher," "Excellent Teacher" and various other awards.

I am passionate about my career and am continuing to explore and research the IB curriculum. I am also good at observing the learning trends of each student and finding better learning methods for each student so that my classes are engaging and interesting for all.

Reading and literary discussion has always been a large part of my life and I'm really excited to bring that passion to my teaching here. I moved to China in 2011, teaching basic oral English to IT and digital art students in Dalian. I moved on to teaching English major students in Wulumuqi and finally oral English and audio/visual seminar at Dalian Maritime University. I've become interested in bicycling since arriving in China, and hope to explore Chengdu by bike in the near future.

With a degree in Information Technology from Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidhyalaya, India, I initially embarked on a journey through entrepreneurship, working in diverse fields such as nanotechnology, consulting, and digital marketing. However, my true passion lies in teaching - a realization that dawned on me during COVID. For the past four years, I've dedicated myself to education as an IB teacher, taking on roles as an ICT Coordinator in the PYP, a Design Teacher in the MYP, and a Design and Technology Teacher in the DP. My expertise spans both digital and product design, and I've had the privilege of guiding students through Personal Projects, Community Projects, and CAS projects. I'm proud that most of my students have achieved top scores, with many earning 6 out of 7 in their Grade 10 IB ePortfolios. A recent highlight of my career is securing a position in the Top 10 of the International Teacher's Olympiad 2023.

As a Design teacher, my goal is to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to navigate a rapidly evolving world, empowering them to tackle challenges through innovative "Design Thinking.
